In this episode, Dr. Elise Martin from UPMC Presbyterian discusses the research she and Dr. Sarah Haessler, et all completed on discontinuing contact precautions for VRE and MRSA in the major article "Stopping the Routine use of Contact Precautions for Management of MRSA and VRE at Three Academic Medical Centers: An Interrupted Time Series Analysis" in the December 2020 edition of The American Journal of Infection Control
Also, we'll be sharing Dr. Yassin's summary of another major article by Dr. Elizabeth Monsees, et al on the "Implementation of a Nurse-Driven Antibiotic Engagement Tool in 3 Hospitals."

Elise Martin, MD, MS received her MD from Georgetown and completed IM residency, ID fellowship, and MS in clinical research at UCLA. She is currently the Associate Medical Director of Infection Prevention at UPMC Presbyterian.
